Welcome to Eidfjord Gjestgiveri
You will find us in the middle of Øvre Eidfjord, a small village at the foot of the Hardangervidda, 6 kilometres from the larger village of Eidfjord in Hordaland county and 150 kilometres east of Bergen. Eidfjord is an ideal starting point for short or long trips on the Hardangervidda.
In 2002 we moved from the Netherlands and bought Eidfjord Gjestgiveri. The main house, along with the six camping huts, was completely renovated during 2003 and 2004. Today there are five double rooms in the main house. In addition, we have six camping huts, each with two sleeping places. We offer a comfortable standard of accommodation at reasonable prices in a cosy guest house environment.
The guest house is open the whole year, but between September 15th and May 1st only when booked in advance. The camping huts are closed between Oktober 15th and April 15th.
In the summer we heartily welcome you to our pancake restaurant where we also serve beer and wine. Outside the pancake season we will serve dinner when ordered in advance.
